1) What is Successful Coaching?
Successful Coaching is a subscription-only online newsletter for coaches, featuring practical advice based on the very latest sports science research. Successful Coaching guides you to becoming a better coach so that you can help your athletes improve their performances and achieve their full competitive potential. It’s published 10 times a year by Electric Word plc. Successful Coaching is not available in the shops – only our subscribers are able to access the valuable information we publish.
2) How can I trust the information you publish?
Our sister publication, Peak Performance has been offering indispensable advice to athletes and coaches for the last 13 years. In 2003, Electric Word, the makers of Peak Performance, teamed up with Brian Mackenzie, founder of the hugely popular and authoritative Sports Coach site, to produce the Successful Coaching newsletter.
Brian Mackenzie is a UK Athletics Senior Performance Coach (UKA 4) with UK Athletics. He has over 35 years experience as a competitive athlete and more than 17 years experience as a track and field athletics coach working with male and female athletes of all ages. Edited by Brian, Successful Coaching gives you the benefit of the experience he has gained during his years as a top coach, taking the very latest sports science research and turning it into practical advice for you to use in your sport.
3) How do I subscribe to Successful Coaching Online?
Just click on this link and follow the simple instructions. You’ll need to provide your credit/debit card details along with your name, address and email address. All card transactions are securely routed through WorldPay, the leading provider of online payment processing.
4) What is Worldpay and how does it work?
Worldpay is the world’s leading online payment service. When you subscribe to Successful Coaching, your details are submitted securely to Worldpay who automatically inform us of your subscription. They will send you an email confirming the transaction, along with a Worldpay user name and password which you can use to access their site and administer your subscription. At no point does anyone at Successful Coaching have sight of your credit/debit details. 5) What payment methods does Worldpay accept?
Worldpay accepts all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Electron, JCB, Solo and Delta.
6) Will you sell or give my email address to anyone else?
No. We never sell or pass on our customers’ details, including email addresses, to any third parties.
7) I received an email newsletter from Successful Coaching but have not subscribed. What’s going on?
As well as our subscription-only newsletter, we also publish a free email newsletter called Sports Coach. This is sent to people who have asked to be included on our mailing list after visiting Successful Coaching or one of our affiliate sites. Sports Coach contains free information and is sent out weekly. Recipients of Sports Coach are under no obligation to purchase a subscription to Successful Coaching – but you’ll need to subscribe if you want the competitive edge Successful Coaching gives its paying subscribers.
8) How can I unsubscribe from Sports Coach and other Successful Coaching emails?
You’ll find a link at the bottom of the email allowing you to automatically and immediately unsubscribe. Alternatively, you can send an email with ‘Unsub’ in the subject line to the address shown at the foot of the email, but please note that it may take a few days to process requests made through this route.
9) Is this publication available internationally?
Yes. If you have access to the internet, you can read Successful Coaching. When you subscribe online, you can choose to pay in US dollars, Euros or British pounds, but as it’s an automated credit card system, the payment will be converted into your local currency when you see your credit card statement. At the moment, Successful Coaching is only published in English.

1) I subscribed to Successful Coaching online but I haven’t received anything since. How do I access my subscription?
You can access Successful Coaching as soon as you subscribe - your issues of Successful Coaching and your free reports are ready for you to download now. Go to the members' area and use your username and password to log in. These were chosen by you when you subscribed and can be found within the ‘Welcome to Successful Coaching Online’ email that you received subsequently. All issues and special reports are stored as PDF files, so you will need Adobe Reader or a similar reader to view them.
2) How will I know when the latest issue has been published?
Whenever a new issue of Successful Coaching is published, we’ll email you to let you it’s available. You can then go to the members’ area to download it.
3) What if I don’t have Adobe Reader installed on my PC?
Adobe Reader is a free piece of software that can be downloaded from the Adobe website:
No problem. Mac users can also download and read Successful Coaching, as long as you have a PDF reader and access to the internet. Adobe Reader is compatible with Macs running OS 7.5.3 or above. Mac OS X users can also use Preview, which is pre-installed along with Mac OS X and will open PDF files automatically.
5) I have forgotten my username and/or password. What do I do?

6) Do you publish any other newsletters? How do I subscribe and can I get a discount for subscribing to more than one?

7) How often will I receive my issue of Successful Coaching?
Successful Coaching is published 10 times a year.

At present, Successful Coaching is only available in electronic format.
9) I have a question about something that was contained in an article. How do I get a response?
Please send an email to sc@electricwordplc.com with your name, contact details, and the specifics of your question (which article you are referring to, etc) then we can forward your question to the writer of the related article. Please note, however, that for legal reasons we are generally not able to answer individual questions.

10) Is there any way to access issues in plain text or something other than PDF?
Not at the moment, but we are working on providing alternatives in the near future.
11) How do I order back issues of Successful Coaching?
You can buy back issues of Successful Coaching in our online shop.
12) How do I cancel my subscription?
Online subscribers can cancel their subscriptions themselves. Go to http://www.worldpay.com/shopper and log in using your Worldpay user name and password. This is is different to your Successful Coaching user name and password and can be found in the email that Worldpay sent you when you subscribed, entitled ‘WorldPay Regular FuturePay Electric Word plc’. Once you’re logged in you need to click ‘View Details’. From here, you can choose ‘cancel’. If you have lost your Worldpay login details, please email sc@electricwordplc.com with ‘Cancel subscription’ in the subject line.
13) How can I obtain a receipt?
